We are sorry to see you go but hopeful we will see you again at one of our other communities in the near future. It has been our pleasure and honor serving you at Nellis Family Housing. We expect that you were happy with your stay and we welcome any feedback on how we can improve our services. Residents are required to move out of Nellis Family Housing if they become ineligible for housing, retire or separate from the military, or are PCS’ing to an installation more than 35 miles away. Residents may terminate their occupancy with at least 30 days prior written notice. Exceptions can only be made if your orders do not allow for 30 days notice. Residents are required to provide immediate notification to their community management office upon receipt of their PCS/separation orders.
Once the notice is received by the community management office, a community representative will set an appointment with the resident for a Pre-Inspection and a Final Inspection. Review our Move-Out Procedures checklist and Move Out Cleaning Checklist for a better understanding of how the process works and the exact areas that require cleaning. The Pre-Inspection is designed to evaluate any damage or cleaning charges that may be incurred if not corrected prior to the Final Inspection.
Residents leaving Nellis Family Housing have three (3) clean-up options: To clean the house following Nellis Family Housing Cleaning Guidelines. Cleaning charges will be assessed during the Final Inspection if cleaning standards are not met. Residents may hire a service provider to clean the house prior to the Final Inspection. A list of authorized cleaning teams will be provided at the housing office. All negotiations will be strictly between the resident and the cleaning team. Residents can opt to have Nellis Family Housing clean the house. Since the house may not be cleaned until after maintenance, floors must be swept and spilled food should be removed. The cleaning charge must be paid in full prior to Final Inspection. Resident will show receipt of payment at Final Inspection.
